Accompanied by Georgina Hogarth's note: "I certify that this Pearl Spectacle Case was given to me by Mrs. James White who was a personal friend of Charles Dickens and intentioned by him, in his work place, that since his death it has always been in my possession and frequently used by me. Georgina Hogarth."
