(Dampstain in some gatherings, short worm track in a very few leaves.) Contemporary blind-tooled calf, the sides centred with the badge of Queen Elizabeth (rubbed, the sides crackled, front joint starting); cloth clamshell case. BOUND FOR QUEEN ELIZABETH I with her badge on the sides: a Tudor rose bearing a scroll upon which is the name 'Elizabeth'. Davenport, English Heraldic Book-Stamps, p.161.
