Chess Analysed. London: J. Nourse and P. Vaillant, 1762. 8°, contemporary calf (neatly rebacked, light rubbing, one corner with old repair). Provenance: John Symmons (1701-1764, his probable ownership inscription at head of title, dated 1763; bookplate, presumably that of his grandson, John Symmons, the lawyer and classicist, who lived 1780/81-1842).
