Publisher's original cloth, engraved illustration mounted on the upper cover and titled in gilt, marbled edges (hinges starting, extremities lightly rubbed, long tear to the front free endpaper ). Provenance: Ol'ga Nikolaevna (1895-1918; inscription 'Vel. Kn. O.H. ot K.A.M') -- Alexander Palace Museum, the older children's classroom library (manuscript label, numbered 533) -- 'Printed in Russia' (small title stamp).
