Lizars and others after Howe, one leaf of text (lacks plate 8, some light crease marks, light browning to a few plates), original pink wrappers with title on front cover (worn).
A RARE SERIES, issued without a title-page. The one leaf of text, inserted on a smaller sheet, is headed: "Lines originally published in the Annals of Sporting, descriptive of the following engravings ...." Schwerdt possessed a copy with the plates in two states, coloured and uncoloured (included as lot 674 in Christie's sale of the Duke of Gloucester's Library, 27 January 2006).
