Hagenau: Henricus Gran, 27 December 1493. 2 parts in one volume, 4° (202 x 135mm). 134 + 196 leaves (of 200, with the final blank but lacks C5-8, a duplicate of C1-4 bound in their place). 40 lines and headline, double columns, gothic letter, woodcut on titles of the author at a desk teaching 2 pupils (first title torn, crudely repaired and loose as is its conjugate leaf a8, II1 also loose, some browning, a few tears, the worst at B7). Contemporary South German pigskin over wooden boards, sides decorated in a diaper pattern with a stamp (deer, rose, eagle, wyvern, fleur-de-lys. etc.) in each lozenge, the whole within a border of Maria scrolls, large round floral stamps in panels of spine (lacks clasp, tear in head of spine, a little darkened).
