Engraved title, dedication leaf and 12 plates by De la Fosse, Major and others after de la Rue (ownership inscriptions and stamps removed from title, title-verso and verso of dedication leaf leaving stains, top margins a little spotted). Contemporary mottled sheep gilt, on covers initials FL surmounted with a couronne fermée (rather rubbed). Provenance: Mark Dineley, bibliophile (armorial bookplate). Lipperheide 2292s; cf.Colas 1780 (dated edition).
