4o (199 x 145 mm). Errata leaf bound at end. One folding engraved plate by VAZQUEZ (repaired). (Some minor dampstaining at gutter.). Contemporary limp vellum, titled in ink on spine (lacking ties).
Borda's account of the solemnities held in Lima on the death of ELIZABETH FARNESE of Parma (1692-1766), Queen consort of Spain. In addition to descriptions of the funerary decorations and includes the names of prominent citizens in Lima, he also includes the text of the funeral oration delivered by TOMAS DE ORRANTIA in the Cathedral in Lima. The folding engraved plate illustrates the magnificent catafalque illuminated and decorated with allegorical statuary. Sabin 6404; Palau 32981; Watanabe 2459.
