Original brick red card covers, paper labels printed in black on the upper side and spine (light wear to spine label, front hinge starting); original purple cardboard slipcase (worn). [With:] -- Three pencil drawings by Louÿs (140-355 x 215-287 mm), one of these signed, and seven gelatin silver prints by Louÿs (one 230 x 180 mm, the others 93 x 93 mm).
FIRST EDITION. A UNIQUE COPY WITH THREE ORIGINAL DRAWINGS AND SEVEN PHOTOGRAPHS ALL BY PIERRE LOUYS. The photographs show one of his favourite models, who appears in two or more of the reproductions in this book; at least one of the original drawings is probably from the same sitting as that reproduced here.
