STORER, 20 etched plates (four double-page) after Storer (15), STEPHANUS MONTALTUS (3) and CAROLUS BUTIUS (2) by Cotta, GIOVANNI BATTISTA DEL SOLE and HIERONYMOUS QUADRIUS, woodcut initials, head- and tail-pieces. This book on the entry of PHILIP IV (1605-1665) and QUEEN MARIA ANNA (1634-1696) of Spain is illustrated with a very fine series of etchings depicting scenes from Roman history, intended to invoke parallels with the Hapsburgs.
