Rare chart of the Harbor of New York City and Environs, published in the last 3 editions of the English Pilot (1783-1794). The map shows Sandy Hook Bay in the south and the southern end of Manhattan in the north. "Competition from The Atlantic Neptune and an increased demand for accurate surveys of the American coast forced the publishers of The English Pilot to update several charts in their atlas.
