25 volumes, including original steel-engraved plate in cloth folding box and the Nonesuch Dickensiana, large 8o (255 x 160 mm). Engraved title vignettes and plates, facsimile wrappers from the original parts. Original buckram, each volume in a different color, black morocco spine labels lettered in gilt, top edges gilt, others uncut (a few spines slightly faded).
THE NONESUCH DICKENS. LIMITED EDITION, one of 877 copies. The original wood block by Hablot K. Browne ("Phiz"), set into a uniform cloth box with a letter of authenticity signed by the Deputy Chairman of Chapman & Hall, is titled "Kit in Prison" (from Old Curiosity Shop, p.487). (25)
