30 parts in 3 volumes. 4 (277 x 214 mm) 300 engraved plates, many partly colored after Reichenbach, Wendland, Giraud and Kraenzlin. (Some light staining.) Contemporary half calf (some light wear to spine ends, rubbed). Provenance: J. Ragot (bookplate).
FIRST EDITION. Xenia Orchidacea, issued in 30 parts by the German orchidologist Henirich Gustav Reichenbach, was completed by Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig Kränzlin (1847-1934). Nissen BBI, 1609 - Pritzel 7514 - Stafleu & Cowan TL2 8894.
