FIRST EDITION. RARE DELUXE ISSUE, ONE OF 100 COPIES BOUND IN CLOTH, INSCRIBED BY MISRACH TO RALPH GIBSON: "For Ralph, enjoy. (Let's connect some time) -- with much respect Richard. Oct. '79". An excellent association copy of "his masterwork"; "many of Misrach's early negatives were destroyed in a fire in the late 1970s, which makes this book a valuable reference for the series as well as a compelling work" (The Photobook). This copy numbered 41. The Photobook, vol. II, p.32.
