8o (264 x 165 mm). Title printed in red and black with engraved vignette printed in blue, text within typographical ornaments, illustrations around text in bistre, blue, and other shades. Blue crushed levant morocco, covers with triple gilt fillet border, UPPER COVER SET WITH A LARGE OVAL PORTRAIT MINIATURE BY MISS C. B. CURRIE (114x84mm), surrounded by a swirling stylized Art Nouveau leaf design on a densely stippled background, spine in 6 compartments with 5 raised bands, gilt-lettered in one compartment, a repeated decorative gilt panel in the rest, board edges and turn-ins gilt, ruby watered silk linings, top edges gilt, others uncut, stamp-signed by the binder on upper turn-in and by the artist on lower turn-in (upper joint, extremities and raised bands lightly rubbed); modern morocco slipcase.
