Oblong 4° (161 x 230 mm). Engraved title by Laurent, and plates 1-65 only [see below], colored by a contemporary hand (plates 44-45 with upper corners renewed affecting numeration, some mostly marginal soiling). Late 18th/early 19th-century vellum-backed marbled boards (slight wear).
A fragment of the first edition. Nordenskiöld lists three editions, including this one, and gives 121 plates for the first two editions and 123 for the third. Nordenskiöld 254
