Salzburg celebrates the wedding of King of Austia and Hungary, Emperor JOSEPH I (1678-1711) and AMALIA WILHELMINE of Braunschweig and Lüneburg (1673-1742) that had taken place in Vienna in 1699. The city commissioned FISCHER VON ERLACH (1656-1723) to built five honorary arches all of which are illustrated. Most engravings signed by GEORG JOSEPH SIGMUND.
