London: John Leake for Abel Swalle, 1693. 2° (392 x 265mm). Title printed in red and black, coats-of-arms, 56 engraved plates only (of 57, lacking plates 3, 16 and 55, but 2 plates numbered 17 and 57, short repaired tear to title, a few other marginal repairs, mainly marginal staining and soiling, a few spots). Contemporary speckled calf (rebacked, later endpapers). Provenance: Duncan Campbell Moncrieff (armorial bookplate on front free endpaper); copious 19th-century mostly pencil annotation and sketches to verso of plates ("Damnation to Bonaparte!"). Sold as a collection of plates, not subject to return.
