Plate volumes bound in original gilt vellum by Otto Walter Ltd, the upper covers and spines decorated in gilt and black, text volume in original vellum-backed boards with uniform spine.
NUMBER 30 OF A LIMITED EDITION OF 500 COPIES. A fine facsimile edition of The Book of Kells. The introductory text volume includes an introduction by Dr E.H. Alton, 'Notes on the Art and Ornament' by Dr P. Meyer and a 'Collation of the Text with the Vulgate' by Dr G.O. Simms. (3)
