Lithographed title, 23 lithographed plates after Thomas, one map (binding sprung, plates and text detached, some browning, marginal soiling and chipping to some text leaves and plates). Contemporary red half morocco, title in gilt on upper cover (some light wear to spine and corners, light soiling to cloth).
FIRST EDITION. Captain George Powell Thomas was in the 64th. Regiment Bengal Infantry. This series of views was certainly a private commission from Dickinson & Co. Abbey Travel 470.
