Woodcut arms on a4v, repeated on last page, numerous woodcut diagrams, overslip on P1r (a few repairs on title-verso affect one letter, some spotting). 18th-century limp boards.
FIRST EDITION of apparently the only book by this author who, as he informs us in the preface, was forced to leave England in 1616 owing to the harsh anti-catholic laws then pertaining there.
