Simmes for W. Burre, 1604. 2 parts in one volume, 4° (189 x 141mm). Woodcut title-vignette on title of part 2, first leaf in the same part blank save for signature, folding printed table (short tear in table, a little worming, mostly marginal but occasionally affecting text very slightly, a little waterstaining, corners at beginning and end dogeared). Contemporary limp vellum (lacks ties, a little worn).
FIRST EDITION, second issue (see STC) of the catholic priest Wright's magnum opus, used by Robert Burton in his Anatomy of Melancholy.
