Quarto (280 x 225mm). 178 black and white and 7 colour photographs. (Two leaves with light marginal soiling.) Original blue cloth with yellow cloth spine, yellow endpapers, original colour photo-illustrated dust-jacket (dust-jacket chipped at extremities, front panel with a long creased tear, some old repairs on the verso). Ishimoto's signature in pencil on the title.
FIRST EDITION, IN DUST-JACKET, SIGNED BY ISHIMOTO. 'The first major postwar Japanese photobook', and one of 'truly international stature' (The Photobook). Ishimoto's signature is rare; ABPC records no signed copy selling at auction. The Photobook, vol. I, pp. 272-73.
