A 20th century American Ships Strike bulkhead clock
Chelsea for Riggs & Bros., Philadelphia
with a 4 in. (10.2 cm.) silvered face, Arabic numerals, pierced blue steel hands, signed Riggs & Bros., Philada., with slow/fast lever by '12', two winding arbours to going-barrel movement and strike mechanism, threaded face plate. Mounted within a carved scene with neptune lounging atop a rock formation holding his trident.
14¼ x 13¾ in. (36.2 x 35 cm.) mount.
