Ebonized case with pierced soundfrets to the sides, glazed front and rear door, brass dial with scrolling spandrels, silvered signature roundel signed Jno Tomlinson Thame, silvered Roman and Arabic chapterring with matted centre, date aperture below winding hole, single fusee movement with verge escapement, engraved backplate (chime lacking)
