A NORTH ITALIAN POLYCHROME-DECORATED SERPENTINE COMMODE GENOA, MID-18TH CENTURY The shaped rectangular green-painted marbelised top above two short and two long drawers, with shaped apron and tapering feet, painted throughout with flowers and foliage within scrolled borders against a cream coloured ground, the bottom drawer similarly decorated and depicting a pair of Chinese figures, the decoration refreshed in areas 34 in. (87 cm.) high; 48½ in. (123 cm.) wide; 22½ in. (57 cm.) deep
