A PAIR OF HUANGHUALI SIDE CHAIRS, DENGGUAYI
LATE QING DYNASTY
Each chair has a curved crestrail that is raised on a S-shaped backsplat above the mat seat and cusped, beaded apron and spandrels. The whole is raised on legs of rounded-square section joined by stepped stretchers.
