A SOUTH GERMAN BIRCH, TRANSFER-PRINTED AND EBONIZED BUREAU SECOND QUARTER 19TH CENTURY With a two-tiered cornice with a central drawer above a drop front with three city-scapes, which opens to reveal a mirror set into the back above a checkered surface, flanked on either side by four drawers, the base with three long drawers flanked by spreading turned columns on a stepped plinth, inscribed in black ink '676', later block feet 49 in. (124.5 cm.) high, 41¾ in. (106 cm.) wide, 23 in. 958.5 cm.) deep
