A closely related florentine console table executed in the second quarter of the 18th century, now in the Appartamento degli Arazzi, prima sala, Palazzo Pitti, Florence, is thought to be part of a suite of six console tables carved 'con festoni, fogliami, medaglioni e maschere' executed by florentine carvers and retailed to the Court by the tappezziere Gaetano Seti circa 1750. (See E. Colle, I Mobili di Palazzo Pitti, Il primo periodo lorenese 1737-1799, Florence, 1992, fig. 33, p. 103).
