A SAPPHIRE, DIAMOND AND SEED PEARL CHOKER NECKLACE
Set with a cushion-cut sapphire, trimmed with rose-cut diamonds within an old mine-cut diamond surround, mounted in silver-topped gold, to the nine-row seed pearl choker, spaced by circular-cut diamond bar links, 13 ins., central plaque circa 1880
With report CS 59842 dated 20 March 2014 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that it is the opinion of the Laboratory that the origin of this sapphire would be classified as Ceylon (Sri Lanka). No gemological evidence of heat.
