The first by Henry Nock, London, circa 1810, the second No. 688, dated 1848
The first with signed flat border engraved lock (top jaw and screw replaced), walnut full stock, flat-sided butt, brass mounts of service pattern, and later ramrod (some pitting), London proof marks; the second with dated barrel and lock, the latter stamped 'Madina' and with a crown, and fitted with pivoting nipple-guard, walnut stock, brass mounts, and stirrup ramrod, the muzzle with later screw-in brass grenade cup
