With double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section with cabalistic markings within the deep central fuller on each side, tapering oblong grooved ricasso struck with a mark and signed 'CAINO' on each side, later hilt comprising guard of flattened rounded bars each incised with a border-line, the side-rings and finials for the knuckle-guard and rear-quillon each with shield-shaped moulding incised with leaves, inner-guard of slender round bars, spirally fluted wire-bound grip with small Turk's heads, and large shield-shaped pommel en suite with the guard
