Lot Essay

See Antoinette Faÿ-Hallé and Barbara Mundt, Porcelain of the Nineteenth Century, New York, 1983, p. 116-117, fig. 199 for a color page from one of Dagoty and Honoré's pattern books of circa 1830 illustrating the present model. The marks on the present example confirm it as an earlier production of the factory.
