Lot Essay

Compare with a Hongxian-marked vase in the Jingyitang Collection depicting boys at play with very similar treatment of the trees, rockwork and figures illustrated by Hu Shangde, Jingyitang Cangci, Jiangxi meishu chubanshe, 2001, p. 27, no. 38.
