A FLEMISH VERDURE TAPESTRY
17th Century
Woven in wools and silks, depicting a wooded landscape with hunting hounds and a fox to the foreground on the right hand side, a pond and a small castle to the background, within a fruited and floral border and later brown outer slip, the main field reduced in size, minute reweaving and patching to the bottom corner of the border
9 ft. 5 in. (287 cm.) square

Mr Rudolf Welter, Ritterhaus Gulderngossa, near Leipzig, 1932, thence by descent to present owner.
