LEMONNIER, JOAILLIER DE LA COURONNE 25 PLACE VENDÔME.' rectangular box with rounded corners, the cover set with the crowned cypher of Emperor Napoleon III applied with cushion and rose-cut diamonds, within cartouche-shaped reserve of translucent blue enamel on guilloché ground flanked by engraved gold foliate scrolls, the enamelled waisted sides engraved with flowers, foliate scrolls at corners, and the base similarly decorated with translucent blue enamel reserve on scale-pattern guilloché ground, raised chased vari-colour gold foliate rim on cover; fitted leather case 3¼ in.
