A LARGE PAINTED GREY POTTERY FIGURE OF A HORSE
HAN DYNASTY (206 BC - AD 220)
The stocky horse stands foursquare on sturdy, braced legs. The thick curved neck has a hogged mane, and the large head is modeled with bulging eyes, alert ears, and mouth open in a whinny, and is further molded with a harness. The short tail is tied, ending in a knot.
