A PAIR OF YELLOW-GROUND PAINTED ENAMEL BOWLS AND COVERS QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY The exterior of each bowl and cover is similarly decorated with bats flying amdist various floral blooms growing from scrolling foliage, all reserved on a yellow ground. The interior of the bowls are painted to the centre with two peaches beside lingzhi and a bat, encircled by five further bats amongst clouds. The bases are each decorated with a stylised archaistic kui dragon. 4 3/4 in. (12.1 cm.) diam.
