A RARE BLUE AND WHITE DEEP BOWL
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
The bowl is thinly potted with deep rounded sides, painted with bright cobalt-blue outlines and filled in with wash on the exterior with detached fruiting sprigs of pomegranate, longyan, peach, wisteria, loquat and finger citrus above six floral sprays, the interior medallion enclosing a leafy sprig of lychee, surrounded on the cavetto with further floral sprays of lotus, peony and chrysanthemum, and a smaller band of florets below the rim, all within double-line borders (short hairline)
