A Sèvres style green ground gilt-metal-mounted circular lobed box and hinged cover
of waisted form, the cover painted with a winged putto presenting gifts to a crowned seated woman, beside a putto seated on a rearing horse, before a garden, signed, within a hexagonal raised gilt panel, above raised gilt sphinx, and scrolling fruit, flowers and foliage, the box with further vignettes of putti flanked by raised gilt ornament, the interior painted with scattered sprigs, iron-red painted mark, late 19th century (some rubbing to gilding) -- 24cm. wide
