CIRCA 1880-1890, ATTRIBUTED TO THOMAS WEBB & SONS, INDISTINCTLY ETCHED W1460
Oviform, the frosted clear glass wall overlaid in opaque white and translucent-red, the cylindrical neck finely wheel-engraved with a band of half flower-heads above folded trompe l’oeil drapery cut in the Chinoiserie taste with pine, prunus and bamboo on a seeded ground, the side with a large spider resting in an elaborate web above a cluster of peony blossoms and other flowers, the obverse with a crane fly in flight beside a flowering branch and reeds, the circular foot banded in key-pattern
