An ivory netsuke of a rat
laying recumbent on a pile of leaves, horn inset eyes, finely incised hairwork -- 1 5/8in. (4.1cm.) long; and another ivory netsuke of a shishi carved crouching over a large ball, its head turned to one side with mouth slightly open revealing a loose ball inside -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide, (old wear).
