Crozat de Tugny was a lawyer and president of a chamber of the Paris parliament. He devoted himself to art collecting, and his library was especially rich in Italian books and works on art. According to Blogie, the catalogue was compiled by Jan Boudot II, who also catalogued Boze's 1745 catalogue. Grolier 91.
