The Homeric, 34,350 tons, built at Danzig was orginally German owned and named Columbus. After the First World War she was handed over to the allies as war reparations. Engaged on the North Atlantic route she had accommodation for 529 First, 487 Second and 1,750 Third class passengers. She was converted to oil in 1924 and then used as a cruise liner until she was broken up in 1936.
