GEMINI 5 TRAINING NOTES – Annotated meal schedule, 1965.
Meal schedule kept by astronaut Gordon Cooper from his Gemini 5 training, displayed with a signed launch photograph.
SIGNED and INSCRIBED: "My training notes from 1965, Gordon Cooper." The Gemini 5 flight meal schedule lists the meal and snack selections for the duration of the mission, as well as a daily calorie summary. Selections include bacon squares, chicken sandwiches, beef bites, salmon salad, cocoa, and grapefruit juice. Cooper's personal attitude towards specific items are recorded, noting "good" next to Peanut Cubes, "ugh!" next to Date Fruit Cake, and giving Tuna Salad a "so so" rating.
