The present watercolours were executed by a Patna School artist who had looked at the work of George Chinnery and Sir Charles D'Oyly.
The river is probably the Ganges. One of the watercolours is a repeat composition by another Patna School hand.
Please note that this lot is sold framed and not unframed as stated in the catalogue.
