With Rolex period Milgauss brochure.
The present watch is an extremely attractive example of the iconic Milgauss reference 6541, featuring the very rare and sought after honeycomb dial and the original "thunderbolt" sweep centre seconds hand. Over time, the scarlet red colour of the designation "Milgauss" has turned into a dark pink, rendering it very unique appearance.
The watch is furthermore preserved in very good overall condition, still maintaining the original hands and bezel and the period bracelet, all rarities by themselves. The case has never been subject to careless polishing and impressing with its full body and the clearly defined fluting to the lugs.
Milgauss reference 6541
Launched in the mid-1950s shortly after reference 6543, reference 6541 was the first watch introducing the anti-magnetic soft iron container encasing the movement, made after the principles of the Faraday cage.
The model is further distinguished by the “thunderbolt” sweep centre seconds hand.
