A hand-written draft of a letter from John Lennon to H.M. The Queen [n.d. but 1971], written in red felt pen on the reverse of a mimeographed typescript cumulative sales report for Singles and LPs by Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono and John Lennon between the 22nd-26th October 1971, the rough note complete with deletions and alterations appears to represent a formal petition to H.M.The Queen on behalf of a number of political prisoners, John writes Your Majesty on behalf of ourselves and our friends we humbly ask you to show clemency to the now world famous 37 political prisoners, especially the 22yr old student Massoud Radjari... signing off Peace & Love, John & Yoko Lennon... 1p.
