The Ritva Man
The Rolling Stones/Mick Jagger
Original designers proof Goat's Head Soup sweater, made in England by Mike Ross, The Ritva Man, and worn by Mick Jagger. Made exclusively for the Rolling Stones to commemorate the album Goat's Head Soup, this first edition sweater features the goat's head applique, a tongue and lip patch on the right sleeve (this was the one and only sweater to have this particular patch), Ritva Man and Mike Ross tags, and the number 1 embroidered in the collar. Additionally, there is a handwritten tag reading GOATS HEAD SOUP, designers proof, 1973 1/1 (first edition) Edition of 30. MR. This proof was sent to the Rolling Stones for approval, and shortly thereafter Mick Jagger was photographed wearing the sweater. It was then returned to Mike Ross, who began production on the remainder of the edition.
