London, Solomon Gallery, Carlos Nadal, September - October 1987.
The Comité Nadal has confirmed the authenticity of this work. Nadal was often drawn to paint the elegance of the racecourse and landscape in various countries, usually the Courses would have attractive settings, as with this work painted in 1977 in Southern France. Here the elegant race goers stand waiting with anticipation for the race to commence, as the course stands and Pavilions prepare to entertain the revellers during and after their successes.
